Bent Mikkelsen
Publisher, Concrete Decor and PaintPRO Magazines
Professional Trade Publications (PTP) is a family-owned publishing business dedicated
to nurturing quality craftsmanship in the construction trades. Founded in 1999,
it is located in Eugene, Oregon.
PTP publishes two magazines, PaintPRO and
Concrete Decor, which serve more than 100,000 construction
professionals worldwide. The company also produces a consumer-oriented website
and Better Design e-magazine, designed to highlight the many possibilities
available in painting and decorative concrete.
A fifth-generation publisher who had his own contracting business for many years, Bent
Mikkelsen combines his family heritage and knowledge of the trades to create
high-quality magazines that are chock full of informative, well-written articles and
photos. Bent is assisted in the business by his wife Sheri, circulation manager,
Sharlee Tergesen, circulation assistant, and his father Ernst, company president.
Other company members include Steven Stanley, art director; Mark Dixon, web designer;
Rosemary Camozzi, senior editor, and John Strieder, assistant editor. The
magazines are also enriched by the work of our exceptional writers across the country.
